WHY SHOULD I BE ORGANIZED?
Disorganization leads to an increase in stress, anxiety, and depression according to Psychology Journal. It results in clutter, a lower sense of accomplishment, and our brains never stop thinking of all the things that we need to do.
Becoming organized will not only allow us to have a better work/life balance, it will make us feel more accomplished, reduce stress, and increase productivity. This means less time in the classroom!
WHAT SHOULD I ORGANIZE?
Anything and everything can be organized. The key is to make organization a habit. We do this by organizing one area at a time.
We focused on managing the paper clutter in a different month. This month, I want you to hone in on your classroom library, the junk drawer in your desk, your math manipulatives, ELA Games, or some other problem area in your classroom.
This month, I want you to focus on one area of your classroom to organize. JUST ONE! Remember organization is not only a time commitment but a financial one as well. You will need items to help you organize.
When you are done, post a picture of your new area using the hashtag #daisiesandchalkpassion. Here you will be able to see the before and after photos of other passion projects.
Throughout the month of April, I will be posting pictures of how I have organized my classroom over the year as well as other ideas for you to explore and use.
Until next time,
